Financial Aid
Are you a parent of a 2017
graduating senior?
Are you stressed about paying
for college?
Then this Interactive
Information Session is for you!
Pleasant Valley Innovative school has partnered with North
Murray High School to invite parents of the 2017 graduating seniors
to a financial aid presentation that will include information about
completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and
other forms of financial aid available to help pay for college
regardless of income.
What is FAFSA? FAFSA is a federal
financial aid application that will help determine if you are
eligible for any kind of financial assistance. This application
also activates the HOPE scholarship if your son/daughter is
eligible for HOPE. For the first time ever, the FAFSA can be filed
as early as October 1st using your 2015 tax information.
Anxious or not about completing the FAFSA, this presentation is for
you! Mr. Marcus Hilliard from the Georgia Student Finance
Commission (GSFC) will be here to present information and then
assist you in filing your application online. All you have to do is
be here, bring your 2015 tax information, and be prepared to
complete the application online with assistance from the counselors
and the representatives from GSFC.
Where and When Can I Get This Information? Come
to NMHS theater on Thursday, October 13th, at 5:30 P.M.
The counselors will review important senior year information from
5:30 to 6:00 P.M., and then Mr. Hilliard from GSFC will present
Financial Aid Information at 6:00 P.M. followed by an easy tutorial
